Certificates and Licenses
If you do not have any certificates or licenses, you would only be able to purchase 1.4G Consumer Products.
In order to purchase ProLine, we do require proof of training. This is usually supplied by a PGI or Shooter’s Certificate, or an ATFE License / Type 54. We will also accept a letter from another firework company stating that you have worked with ProLine or 1.3G previously on a show.
You can obtain a ProLine Certificate by completing a Display Operator Course. This course is put on by firework companies all over the country. RKM Fireworks typically holds two classes per year, usually in the spring and fall. You can always visit PGI.org to see upcoming classes that are being held by different companies.
In order to purchase 1.3G Products, we will need a signed copy of your ATFE License (usually a Type 54). We will also need you to fill out and return a Customer Information Form.
Yes, you can purchase up to 50 lbs of black powder without a license and storage. We will have you fill out a Black Powder Form that states the intended use for the powder. Please note that we cannot ship our black powder.
Yes, as long as you are within 100-150 miles (or 3 hours) from us, RKM can provide a letter for contingency storage. Please note that the letter is only good for products purchased from RKM Fireworks.
Ordering
Since we are a wholesale company, we prefer that all items are purchased by the case. However, we know that that is not always feasible. We consider orders that are at least 50% full cases to be wholesale orders. If your order is more than 50% single pieces, you will be referred to one of the retail sites we work with.
Orders can be placed on our website. Once an order is placed, we will review it to make sure everything is in stock and can be purchased by the customer. Then we will reach out to you via e-mail to collect certificates and forms. We will confirm the order and take care of payment and shipping/pickup. The website does not take payment or calculate shipping — all shipping quotes are ran manually.
Unfortunately, no. RKM Fireworks is warehouse only. By law, we cannot allow customers in the warehouse or containers. Orders should be placed online or via e-mail. We provide pictures and videos on the website.
We import containers year round. You can sign up for our mailing list at rkmfireworks.net to be notified when containers arrive. We send itemized lists once received.
No. We wait until items are back in stock before placing orders, as pricing is unknown before arrival.
We ask that all 1.3G orders for the 4th of July are placed and finalized one week before the 4th of July.
Tiers and Pricing
You can view pricing on the “Pricing List” page at rkmfireworks.net. It includes 1.4G Consumer, Articles Pyrotechnic / ProLine, and 1.3G Regulated sheets.
Full Pricing – Under $999.00
Tier 1 - $1,000 to $2,499
Tier 2 - $2,500 to $9,999
Tier 3 - $10,000 or 100 cases minimum
Tiers are calculated based on all of your orders since becoming a customer (excluding tax and shipping).
As long as you place at least one order per year, your tier will not reset.
Pick Ups
Pickups must be scheduled 48 hours in advance. Less than 48 hours incurs a $50 rush fee. Less than 24 hours incurs a $100 rush fee.
If you are unable to make it for your pick up, the first step is to let us know. You may be required to put down a deposit if the rescheduled pick up date is more than a week from the original order date (or if you have not already put down a deposit).
If you cancel an order after it has already been pulled for pick up, you will forfeit your deposit because we will have lost the opportunity to sell those items while they were being held for you. You also may be required to pay an additional 25% re-stocking fee.
Shipping Fireworks
We can ship to most states within the US. We cannot ship aerial fireworks to Alaska, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, or Rhode Island. We can only ship ground shippable items / novelties to these states.
Yes, we can ship straight to your home as long as a freight truck will not have issues getting down your street or driveway. If a freight truck cannot make it safely, you can always arrange for terminal pickup.
The cost of shipping depends on the weight of the shipment and the distance it must travel. The base cost is approximately $200.00 for up to a 300 lb shipment.
We also charge $5.00 per pallet used for the shipment. If you have single pieces on the order, we will also charge for boxes.
If you know you will need a lift gate, you must let us know before we run your shipping quote, as using a lift gate is an additional charge. Depending on the freight company, this fee can range from $50 to $190.
Yes. Once your shipment reaches the final terminal, the freight company will call you to schedule delivery. All HAZMAT deliveries require a signature from someone over 18 years old.
Once your shipment arrives at the final terminal, you have 3 days to schedule delivery or arrange terminal pickup. After 3 days, the order will be returned to the warehouse and funds will be used to recoup shipping costs. There are no refunds for orders that are shipped back.
If you need your shipment by a certain date, you may contact the freight company directly using the customer service number provided in your tracking email.
If your shipment arrives with visible damage, inspect the boxes while the delivery driver is present. Make sure the damage is noted on the proof of delivery.
Take pictures of all boxes before and after opening. Then email the photos and a list of damaged items to info@rkmfireworks.com as soon as possible.
Claims are significantly harder to win if damage is not noted at delivery. RKM Fireworks must be notified as soon as possible so we can assist with resolution.
